Dear SFC Members,
The Syracuse Football Club Reunion and Zunic Award Weekend, held on October 17th, was a
tremendous success!
Our weekend began with the Friday Gala at Drumlins, a memorable evening celebrating the
legacy of Mike and Judy Zunic. During the event, we proudly presented the Zunic Award to Carl
Jenkins ’88. Carl’s teammates, family, and friends attended in great numbers to honor his
remarkable contributions and achievements.
The evening was filled with camaraderie, storytelling, and laughter, accentuated by great music
from SFC member Eddie Dowdell. The celebration continued at the Tru Hilton Hotel, where Carl
hosted a post-event gathering to mark this special occasion.
On Saturday afternoon, members reconvened for the annual SFC Lenny’s Tailgate, followed by
cheering on our 2025 Syracuse Football Team as they faced Pittsburgh in the Dome. Although
the outcome of the game was not in our favor, the sense of unity and spirit among our members
was undeniable. During the first quarter, Carl Jenkins was formally recognized by the University
as the 2025 Zunic Award Recipient, a moment that filled us all with pride.
